UAE. Renowned developer St George is delighted to have showcased One Blackfriars, an exclusive new London residential tower, at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on 26 November 2016.

The showcase saw a model of the luxury development featured alongside the unveiling of the Aston Martin AMRB001 in the presence of Aston Martin CEO Dr Andy Palmer and Red Bull driver Daniel Riccardo.

The partnership with Aston Martin complimented One Blackfriars’ elite offering, whilst providing an opportunity to unveil the project’s highly anticipated final release of homes before completion.

Designed by award winning SimpsonHaugh & Partners Architects, One Blackfriars is set to be a beacon of architectural brilliance in the heart of London.

Rising 50 storeys (170m), the project will provide 271 new homes, a boutique-style 161-bedroom hotel, retail outlets and a viewing lounge on the 32nd floor. The development is situated in a prime London riverside location adjacent to Blackfriars Bridge, just five minutes from London Waterloo, and has garnered interest from buyers across the globe.

The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is Abu Dhabi’s biggest and most glamorous social and sporting event of the year. The event runs from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 November, returning this year on the iconic tracks of Yas Marina on Yas Island.

Commenting on the showcase, Michael Bryn-Jones, Managing Director of St George PLC said: “The Grand Prix has provided us with the perfect opportunity not only to unveil our final release of homes to the MENA market before completion in Spring 2018, but also to celebrate our sales success. Buyer interest has been strong and we are pleased to say we are in a strong forward sold position. One Blackfriars’ unique location, iconic architecture and luxurious interiors hold global appeal and our partnership with a global brand such as Aston Martin is testament to this.”

One Blackfriars will be a shimmering new dimension to London’s skyline, there will be 9,100 panes of glass in the inner and outer facades of the building; three times the number in the British Museum Great Court and thirteen times that in the Louvre Pyramid. Internally the residences have been designed to maximise space, light and views.

In recognition of London’s vibrant cultural history and the close proximity of the tower to the Southbank Centre (the largest single-run arts centre in the world) and Tate Modern, the interior design has been influenced by three famous artists: 18th century painter Thomas Gainsborough, 20th century modernist sculptor Barbara Hepworth, and Romanticist landscape painter J. M. W. Turner.

Prices at One Blackfriars start at £1.15m and range to £23m.
