Byblos Bank's innovation honoured by Visa

LEBANON.  Byblos Bank was honored by Visa in recognition of its recently launched innovative products and services, notably its mobile payment application ByblosPay, and the instant card issuance service.

The ceremony took place at Beirut’s Kempinski Summerland Hotel and Resort in the presence of top managers from Byblos Bank and Visa, as well as media representatives.
Mrs. Joumana Chelala, Deputy General Manager and Head of Consumer Banking at Byblos Bank Group, said: “Our strategic partnership with Visa and other world renowned partners is one of the keys to the success of our innovative products and services”. She added: “Byblos Bank always strives to provide its clients with new and secure banking technologies in order to cater to their evolving lifestyle and meet their needs efficiently.”

For his part Mr. Nabil Tabbara, General Manager at Visa Levant, said: “We are happy to take part in this annual ceremony, which sheds light on the special strategic partnership between Byblos Bank and Visa. A partnership that we value and appreciate”. He added: “Byblos Bank is keen on the satisfaction of its clients and on providing them with a wide array of unique products and solutions that make their daily transactions easier.”

Byblos Bank is widely considered as one of the leading Lebanese banks in terms of innovation, having launched in recent years several unique products and services on the Lebanese market. The Bank’s flagship ByblosPay application, launched in November 2016, was the first real mobile payment application in the Levant region, whereas the instant card issuance service is only available in Lebanon at all Byblos Bank’s branches.
